Curug Cikawah
Lokasi: Desa Sobang, Kecamatan Sobang, Kabupaten Lebak
Natural Landscape:
A waterfall consisting of several levels with a height of approximately 7-10 m in the Cikawah River flow, which is composed of lava from the Endut Volcano.
Rock Formation:
The rock is a type of andesite lava, gray to black in color, with a layered structure, vesicular, fractured, composed of plagioclase, feldspar, pyroxene, with a base of volcanic glass, in the hot water area this rock has undergone mineral changes. The rock is estimated to be Pliocene in age.
Other Geological Description:
Not far from the waterfall location, three hot spring points were found as a manifestation of the Endut Volcano geothermal heat, appearing on the lava fractures in the Cikawah River with a temperature of 53-88°C, pH 7.74-7.98, and a flow rate of approximately 5 l/min, containing sulfur.
