The Secretary of the Geological Agency of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Dr. Ediar Usman, stated that the handover of the determination of geological heritage (geoheritage) is usually carried out ceremoniously and also announces to the public that there are already sites that have been determined to be protected in the future. "The protection of geoheritage is not separated from national policies, which is sustainable development, one of which is through the utilization of geoheritage and geoparks," said the Secretary of the Geological Agency of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
The Head of the Geological Survey Center of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Dr. Hermansyah, added that the issuance of the ESDM Regulation on the Determination of Geoheritage in Lebak District is not a target but rather a facility and aligns the spirit to move forward.
