Handover of the National Geopark Decree for Bayah Dome Geopark

Coinciding with the MUSREMBANG (Regional Medium-Term Development Plan / RPJMD) activities for Lebak Regency for the period 2025-2029, the handover of Decree No. 173 K/GL.01/MEM G/2025 concerning the Establishment of Bayah Dome National Geopark was conducted on June 11, 2025.

The decree was directly presented by Dr. Ir. Muhammad Wafid A. N., M.Sc., Head of the Geological Agency, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Indonesia, to the Regent of Lebak, Muhammad Hasby Jayabaya, SH.

The ceremony was also attended by the Director of Bayah Dome Geopark along with the management board officials, regional government officials, community leaders, and other invited guests.

During this occasion, the Director of Bayah Dome Geopark, Engkap Kapriadi, expressed his gratitude to all parties for their sincerity, dedication, and cooperation in providing attention, support, and assistance to the management board, which enabled the achievement of Bayah Dome Geopark's designation as a National Geopark.
