Kompleks Mineralisasi Cirotan is a nationally ranked geoheritage,
located in Sukamulya Village, Cibeber District, Lebak Regency.
Rocks:
1.The rock exposed at this location includes:
Andesite lava, with colors ranging from gray to dark brown,
massive, flow-structured, strongly foliated, vesicular, oxidized
and filled with calcite, quartz, and sulfide minerals;
Volcanic breccia altered with lapilli to boulder-sized fragments,
composed of andesite and dacite rocks, with a matrix of fine to
medium-grained tuff. This volcanic breccia is oxidized and filled
with quartz minerals;
Tuff with colors ranging from gray to yellowish-brown, fine to
medium-grained. This rock does not show clear layering, as most
of the tuff has undergone weathering processes or hydrothermal
alteration.
2. At the Cirotan Mineralization Complex location, N1900E/800
quartz veins are found in propylitic andesite rocks. These quartz veins
are found in two places, in caves at elevations of ±650 m asl and
±900 m asl. The mineralization at this location was formed during
the Pliocene period due to the intrusion of microdiorite rocks.
Natural Landscape:
The location features the Kadu Punah waterfall with a height of
±30m, formed due to geological structure.
